When it comes to shopping, we’ve all been there – you try on clothes in six different stores, and the exact same size fits you in six different ways – or not at all. And this doesn’t happen more often than when you’re trying on jeans.
Natural waist, low-rise, boot-cut, skinny, flare – the number of combinations can make you want to swear off denim forever. But never fear, technology is coming to the rescue again!
A new, free service called mybestfit is poised to revolutionize the way we shop. A kiosk with a body imaging booth will use low power radio waves to scan your body, taking over 200,000 points of measurement. Of course, you’re fully clothed, the actual scanning only takes about ten seconds, and after about 10 minutes you get a shopping guide that lists styles that fit your exact body type. Just think how much time and frustration you’d save yourself if you went into the mall already knowing you need those Seven low-rise boot-cut jeans instead of the Lucky ultra low-rise flare leg jeans.
If you’re in the Philadelphia area, there is a mybestfit kiosk in the King of Prussia mall, and other locations in Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago are scheduled by the end of the year. It’s also been featured on the Today show, and you can check out a clip here. Happy Shopping!
