And by lighter, I mean a wallet with a lot less money (as if we needed a faster way to get there!). The technology that’s gonna have us spending cash in a flash is called Near Field Communication technology.
It’s been around for a while, and is already in use in Europe and Japan. NFC has a lot of very cool potential applications, but the one that has everyone buzzing the most is contactless payment. The wireless technology behind NFC easily integrates into cell phone design and would allow you to pay for things just by waving your phone near the cashier’s receiver and your transaction is completed in a snap. You would also be able to use digital coupons and reward cards as well. NFC is rumored to be included in the release of the upcoming iPhone5 and a new Google Android phone.
While I’m very impressed by the technology, I think I’d be a little anxious about all of the information that could be potentially lost or stolen if I misplaced my phone. Of course, people lose their wallets all the time, but this just seems different somehow. What do you think?
Thats Good Stuff cuz, keep pushin.. luv ya
